Saucy Sue

Saucy Sue is a fast, elegant, Victorian 12 ft. rowing boat.

A clinker-build from the 1880s, it’s the oldest boat in the museum. It was purchased in 1936 for £5 and the owner used it to catch & sell mackerel to fund his university place. It’s been rowed regularly from Solva, Pembs. since then winning many regattas.

It is on loan to us so we are unable to repair or repaint it.
