2026 Pembroke River Rally

Pembroke River Rally 2026 Brings Boats to Castle Moat. Boats gathered beneath the historic walls of Pembroke Castle on Saturday 8 August as the West Wales Maritime Heritage Society's Pembroke River Rally returned for 2026.

The rally saw a flotilla of boats make its way along the Cleddau Estuary and upriver towards Pembroke, providing a fantastic spectacle for those watching from the riverbank and around the Castle Moat.

Celebrating Our Maritime Heritage

The Pembroke River Rally is an opportunity to bring boat owners, maritime enthusiasts and the local community together while celebrating Pembrokeshire's long and fascinating connection with the water.

With boats travelling along one of the area's most historic waterways before gathering in the impressive surroundings of Pembroke Castle, the event provided another memorable day for the Society and everyone who came along to watch.

Boats Beneath Pembroke Castle

The arrival of the flotilla into the Castle Moat created a particularly impressive sight, with a variety of boats gathering against the backdrop of one of Pembrokeshire's best-known landmarks.

Events such as the River Rally are an important part of the work of the West Wales Maritime Heritage Society, helping to keep the area's maritime history alive while encouraging people to enjoy and learn more about our local waterways.

A Busy Year for the Society

The River Rally forms part of a busy programme of events being organised by the West Wales Maritime Heritage Society throughout 2026.

Alongside the rally, our programme includes events such as Pirate Day, the Boat Jumble Sale and a range of other activities bringing together people with an interest in boats, local history and Pembrokeshire's maritime heritage.

Thank you to everyone who took part in the 2026 Pembroke River Rally and to those who came out to watch and support the event.

We also enjoyed seeing the River Rally featured by the Western Telegraph, helping to share this great local event with an even wider audience.
