What's Here

Joan Hague Maritime Library

We have over 3,000 books in our library, covering everything from boat design & construction, history and biographies, through to 50 year old hand-written ledgers of Hancock's boatyard operations. Many are very old copies which we are preserving as part of our mission to look after our nautical heritage.

Where possible, books can be made available for study or research purposes.

We are always grateful for donations of interesting nautical books.

Joan Hague was a very active member of the Society and we are also indebted to her daughter for her ongoing support.

Please browse the full listing of all our books (as of May 2025).
